The history of Anderlecht
RSC Anderlecht is one of the most renowned and successful football clubs in Belgium. Founded in 1908, Anderlecht has won the Belgian First Division, the Jupiler Pro League, numerous times and has also achieved success on the European stage.
The club’s colours are purple and white, and they play their home matches at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Anderlecht, a suburb of Brussels. The stadium, also known as Lotto Park, has a capacity of just over 20,000 spectators.
During their golden era in the 1970s, Anderlecht enjoyed great success, winning several European trophies, including the Cup Winners’ Cup. The club has maintained its status as one of Belgium’s most respected sides and continues to play an important role in the country’s football history.
