The history of AC Monza
AC Monza was founded in 1912 through the merger of the local clubs Pro Monza and Pro Italia. The club’s original colours were white and blue, but in 1928 it adopted the red and white colours that still define the team today. Monza spent much of its history in the lower divisions and established itself as a traditional Serie B club. Its major breakthrough came in 2022, when the team reached Serie A for the first time after a 110-year wait. After one season in Serie B, the club returned to the top flight of Italian football in 2026.
AC Monza play their home matches at Stadio Brianteo, which has a capacity of just over 17,000 spectators.
