Juventus history
Juventus, based in Turin in northern Italy, is the most successful football club in the country’s history. La Vecchia Signora (“The Old Lady”) or Juve was founded in 1897 and has won over 35 league titles, Lo Scudetto. The club has also won the Champions League twice, most recently in 1996. Juventus play their home matches at the Allianz Stadium, formerly known as the Juventus Stadium, which opened in 2011 and has a capacity of 41,000 spectators.
A long list of world-class players have worn the Juventus shirt over the years, including Zinedine Zidane, Marcelo Salas, Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedvěd.
We highly recommend attending matches against Inter, known in Italy as the Derby d’Italia – the Italian derby – a fixture that offers an atmosphere and intensity unlike any other.
