DALLAS COWBOYS HISTORY
The Dallas Cowboys are one of the NFL’s most iconic and successful franchises. Founded in 1960, they quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Under the leadership of legendary head coach Tom Landry, the Cowboys achieved great success during the 1970s, including victories in Super Bowl VI (1972) and Super Bowl XII (1978). The team became renowned for its innovative “Flex Defense” and outstanding players such as quarterback Roger Staubach, who became a symbol of the Cowboys’ dominance during this era.
After a period of rebuilding, the Cowboys returned to the top in the 1990s under coach Jimmy Johnson. With stars such as quarterback Troy Aikman, running back Emmitt Smith and wide receiver Michael Irvin, the team won three more Super Bowls: XXVII (1993), XXVIII (1994) and XXX (1996).
The Cowboys have a loyal and extensive fan base, earning them the nickname “America’s Team”. Their rivalries with the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants make their matchups some of the most anticipated in the NFL schedule.
Their home ground, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is one of the most impressive arenas in the world, with a capacity of over 80,000 spectators. But the Cowboys are not only known for their play on the field – the team also has the NFL’s most famous cheerleading squad, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Since their debut in the 1970s, they have become a global symbol of showmanship, precision and American sporting culture.
The Dallas Cowboys are a club with a history of innovation, star players and unforgettable moments. Experiencing a game at AT&T Stadium is a dream for many NFL fans – and a chance to see the Cowboys battle it out on the field in a true NFL spectacle.
