How do I get to Autodromo Nazionale Monza?
We recommend booking bus transfers to the circuit through us at OLKA. Our buses depart from central Milan early in the morning and return after the race finishes in the evening.
Otherwise, you can get to the circuit in the following ways:
Train – You can take a train from Milan Central Station to Monza. The journey takes around 25 minutes, with trains running every half hour to an hour. From Monza Station, you can take a shuttle to the circuit by purchasing a combined train and shuttle ticket (€10 per day) from Trenord. The shuttle takes about 20 minutes and stops around a 20-minute walk from the track. Walking from the station takes roughly 45 minutes and goes through Monza’s charming city centre.
Car – Traffic near the circuit is often restricted due to road closures, so expect congestion and plan to leave early in the morning. Parking (€25) should be purchased in advance from the circuit’s official website.
Taxi – If you pre-book or take a taxi early in the morning, it can work well. Later in the day, taxi access is usually limited due to traffic restrictions around the circuit.
Always keep in mind that there will be queues, and getting to and from the circuit will probably take longer than you expect.

Monza has been part of the Formula 1 calendar almost every year since 1950 (with the exception of 1980), making it one of the most classic events. Each year, the track attracts over 100,000 spectators — not least thanks to the devoted tifosi who fill the grandstands in their red Ferrari shirts.
Experience more than just the race
The F1 weekend at Monza is about more than just Sunday’s race. Expect plenty of action throughout the entire weekend:
- Friday: Practice sessions where you can watch the drivers test different setups. Perfect if you want to see plenty of on-track action.

- Sunday: The race – the highlight of the entire weekend. The atmosphere in the grandstands is unbeatable.
Outside the circuit, you can combine your weekend with an evening in Milan, enjoying shopping, aperitivo, and classic Italian cuisine. If you’re into culture, take the opportunity to make a day trip to Lake Como or visit Monza’s historic town centre.
