The history of Atalanta
Atalanta BC is an Italian football club founded in 1907 and based in the city of Bergamo in northern Italy. The club has experienced mixed success over the years but in recent seasons has established itself as a strong force in both Italian and European football.
Atalanta are known for their attacking and entertaining style of play, which has made them challengers to Italy’s traditional top clubs. They have also competed in European competitions such as the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League.
The club plays its home matches at the Gewiss Stadium, a modern venue with a capacity of around 21,000 spectators. Atalanta’s colours are black and blue, and the team is affectionately nicknamed La Dea (“The Goddess”) by its fans. Atalanta BC has a proud history and continues to strive for success in both Italian and international football.
