Estoril Praia history
Estoril Praia, based in the coastal town of Estoril just west of Lisbon, is one of Portugal’s best-known football clubs. Founded in 1939, the club has spent much of its history as an established part of Portuguese top-flight football.
In recent decades, Estoril Praia has been a regular presence in the Primeira Liga and has also represented Portugal in European competitions. The club is known for its focus on developing young talent and its attacking football philosophy.
Home matches are played at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota, a charming stadium with a capacity of around 8,000 spectators. Located just a short walk from the Atlantic coast, the stadium offers a fantastic football experience in one of Portugal’s most popular seaside resorts.
