The history of KAA Gent
KAA Gent is one of the most established football clubs in Belgium and has spent most of its modern history competing in the country's top division. Founded in 1900, the club has built a strong reputation in Belgian football through league titles, cup victories and numerous appearances in European competitions.
The club's colours are blue and white, and they play their home matches at the Planet Group Arena in Ghent. Opened in 2013, the stadium is one of the most modern football venues in Belgium and has a capacity of just over 20,000 spectators.
One of the club's greatest moments came in 2015 when KAA Gent secured their first Belgian league title. The success was followed by a memorable UEFA Champions League campaign, where the team impressed by reaching the knockout stages. Today, KAA Gent remains one of Belgium's most respected clubs and continues to be a strong force in both domestic and European football.
