The history of OGC Nice
OGC Nice is a French football club founded in 1904 and based in the city of Nice on the French Riviera. Officially known as Olympique Gymnaste Club Nice Côte d’Azur, the club has a rich history and a strong tradition within French football. They have won the French league four times, with their most successful period coming during the 1950s and 1960s.
With their distinctive red and black colours, the team is sometimes nicknamed Les Aiglons (“The Young Eagles”). OGC Nice has not only stood out for its on-field achievements but also for its ability to nurture and develop talented young players.
Home matches are played at the Stade de Nice, a modern stadium with a capacity of over 35,000 spectators.
