The history of Cádiz CF
Cádiz CF was founded in 1910 under the name Cádiz Foot-Ball Club and is today best known simply as Cádiz or by the nickname El Submarino Amarillo (The Yellow Submarine).
The club has a long and eventful history filled with both highs and lows, moving between different divisions in Spanish football over the years. After several seasons in La Liga, Cádiz currently competes in Segunda División, the second-highest tier in Spain.
Cádiz play their home matches at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, formerly known as Estadio Ramón de Carranza. The stadium holds around 20,700 spectators and is located close to the Atlantic coast in the historic city of Cádiz.
