The history of Cádiz CF
Cádiz Club de Fútbol was founded in 1910 under the name Cádiz Foot-Ball Club and is today best known simply as Cádiz, or by the nickname El Submarino Amarillo (The Yellow Submarine).
The club has had a rather turbulent history, marked by both successes and setbacks, moving frequently between Spain’s top flight and the third division. Since 2020, Cádiz have been playing in La Liga, and on 20 September 2020, they celebrated their first-ever La Liga victory.
Cádiz play their home matches at Estadio Ramón de Carranza, which has a capacity of 20,724 spectators.
